Terms of Use

Last updated: July 27, 2026

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern your use of Deskonsole, a Windows desktop application. By installing or using Deskonsole, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

2. What Deskonsole is

Deskonsole brings your game library together — Steam, Epic Games, and manually added folders and executables — into an interface built to be used with a controller, full screen, on your Windows PC. The app also offers optional community features: friends list, chat, and a store aggregating deals from third parties.

3. Early access

Deskonsole is in Early Access. This means features may change, be removed, or be unstable, and that we do not currently charge for using the app. We do our best to preserve your data and settings across updates, but we cannot guarantee the absence of bugs during this phase.

4. Account and account-free use

You can use Deskonsole's core features — organizing and launching your local game library — without creating an account. In that case, no data is sent to our servers. Creating an account is only required to use social features (friends, chat, reports) and some store features, and requires an email and password.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Contact us at suporte@deskonsole.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

5. Acceptable use

When using Deskonsole, you agree not to:

  • Use the app to violate the terms of service of Steam, Epic Games, or any other platform you connect or import;
  • Harass, threaten, or spam other users in chat or social features;
  • Attempt to bypass security mechanisms, rate limits, or the app's CAPTCHA;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the app outside official channels;
  • Misuse the reporting feature to harass other users in bad faith.

6. Social features, reports, and blocking

Deskonsole lets you add friends, exchange messages, and report or block other users. Reports are reviewed by our team. Blocking someone prevents direct messages in both directions. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, based on reports or other evidence of abuse.

7. Third-party content and data

Game information, prices, and deals shown in the Deskonsole store come from third-party sources (such as Steam, IsThereAnyDeal, and RAWG). We do not control those sources and cannot guarantee that prices, availability, or deals are always accurate or up to date — always confirm on the destination store before purchasing.

8. Intellectual property

Deskonsole, its brand, and its code are owned by Deskonsole. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the app under these terms. Third-party games, brands, and artwork shown in the app belong to their respective owners.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Deskonsole is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, especially during Early Access. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the app.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Deskonsole evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use after an update means you agree to the new terms.
