Privacy Policy

1. Who processes your data

Deskonsole is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy. Questions or requests about your data can be sent to suporte@deskonsole.com.

2. If you don't create an account

Using Deskonsole to organize and launch your local game library does not require an account and does not send any personal data to our servers. Your library, settings, and preferences are stored only on your computer.

3. Data we collect when you create an account

Creating an account is required to use friends, chat, and some store features. When you create an account, we collect:

• Registration data: email, username, display name, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text);
• Avatar and profile: your avatar image, if you upload one;
• Social activity: your friends list, direct and channel messages, and reports and blocks you file;
• Security data: logs of events such as login, report, and block actions (security log), and IP address, used to limit abuse, prevent spam, and validate CAPTCHA;
• Communications: emails we exchange with you (e.g., license notices or support).

4. How we use this data

• Authenticate your account and maintain your session;
• Enable friends, chat, and other social features;
• Moderate the community: review reports, apply blocks, and suspend accounts that violate our Terms of Use;
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and automated misuse (rate limiting, CAPTCHA, account enumeration detection);
• Send operational communications, such as confirmations and account notices.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that operate Deskonsole's infrastructure, to the extent necessary:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and backend hosting;
• Cloudflare: hosting for the website and support panel, plus the CAPTCHA (Turnstile) used to protect sign-up and login.

To display game prices, artwork, and information in the store, we query third-party APIs (Steam, IsThereAnyDeal, and RAWG) through our own proxy — these lookups do not send your personal data to those services.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. The app does not yet have a self-service account deletion button; if you want your account and associated data deleted, write to suporte@deskonsole.com and we'll handle the request manually. Security logs may be retained for an additional period for fraud and abuse prevention purposes.

7. Your rights

Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you may request at any time:

• Confirmation that we process your data, and access to it;
• Correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
• Deletion of your data, subject to the retention described above;
• Portability of your data to another provider, where applicable;
• Information about who we share your data with.

8. Children

Deskonsole is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from that audience.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Deskonsole evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
